Te Ara Tūhono Services
What we do
Te Rūnanga o Ngā Maata Waka is an Urban Māori Authority dedicated to supporting whānau in Te Waipounamu.
As the guardians of Ngā Hau e Whā National Marae, we provide culturally responsive services that empower Māori and their whānau to navigate key systems with confidence
Our services include:
✔ Supporting whānau to understand ACC claims, cover, and entitlements
✔ Connecting whānau with additional health and social services
✔ Ensuring equitable access to ACC support for Māori
Based in Canterbury, we work alongside whānau, hapū, and iwi to foster trust, confidence, and accessibility within the ACC system.
Our goal is to empower whānau with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
