At Te Rūnanga o Ngā Maata Waka, FFT is delivered in a way that reflects our values and commitment to Te Ao Māori.  Therapy sessions are held weekly over three to five months, usually 12-14 in total, and take place in spaces that feel safe and familiar – whether here on the marae, at home, or other location the whānau choose.

Each session lasting one hour.

With a strong emphasis on respect, our therapists address emotional and behavioural challenges by encompassing and embedding Māori principles and values to meet the cultural needs of all whanau.

  • Manaakitanga – Respectful, caring relationships are at the heart of Maori principles shared with all nations and all peoples
  • Te Wero – We embrace challenge as a path to growth and transformation
  • Kia Tika, Kia Pono – Honesty and integrity guide every step.
  • Rangatiratanga – Whanau are empowered to lead their own journey

If you’re working with a whānau who may benefit from FFT, we welcome your referral.
